We want to be sure that you are satisfied with your hair purchase. This hair maintenance guide will assist you in making sure your hair will last for several re-installations.
Pre-Installation of Virgin Indian Remy
Keep in mind that our virgin Indian Remy hair is unprocessed hair. This hair is shipped to you treated with a leave in conditioner. Therefore, we ask that you always wash the virgin Indian Remy hair extensions before installation. If there are any problems with the hair, you should be able to detect them at this time. Hold hair and wash in vertical direction. If you believe there may be any problems, contact us immediately.
Machine Weft Hair Installation
Unlike Hand Tied Wefts, this weft can be cut anywhere along the weft. We recommend you never sew through the weft as this can damage the weft and cause shedding. To preserve the longevity of the weft, we recommended that you sew around the weft with a loop stitch.
Hair Maintenance
- Shampoo hair at least once a week using a moisturizing shampoo.
- Do not massage or rub the hair against itself. Wash in a downward motion. Use your fingers between the wefts in a horizontal motion to clean your scalp.
- Rinse thoroughly.
- Apply a moisturizing conditioner.
- Rinse thoroughly.
- Gently towel dry hair.
- Apply a leave in conditioner.
- Gently comb hair with a wide tooth comb. Begin combing small sections at the ends, working up towards the scalp.
- Dry hair or hair can be set in rollers while wet.
- Flat iron or style with a curling iron.
- Air-dry wavy or curly hair for the best wave/curl formation.
Daily Care for Straight Hair
- Comb hair with a wide tooth comb, beginning at the ends and working your way up towards the scalp.
- We recommend only using a wide bristle brush. Brushes can be very damaging to any hair type.
- Do not use styling aids containing alcohol to reduce the risk of tangling.
- Before going to bed, braid, pin curl or roll your hair for best results.
- Do not sleep on damp hair.
Daily Care for Wavy/Curly Hair
- To refresh curls in the morning, spray with plain water, leave in conditioner or dilute a curl activator product.
- Finger style or use a wide tooth comb.
- Allow hair to air-dry.
- Do not comb dry curls or waves, you will disrupt the curl pattern and cause a frizzy afro!
- Do not use a leave in conditioner or activator too frequently or the hair will tangle.
- Do not use styling aids containing alcohol to reduce the risk of tangling.
- Before going to bed, braid, twist, pin curl or roll your hair for best results.
- Do not sleep on damp hair.
